Bob received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from Brandon University before entering the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He was awarded his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 1976, and opened practice in Moose Jaw in 1977.
Dr. Bellamy continues as a full time practitioner, and takes great pride in an aptitude and interest in treating all types of animals. His passion for multi species practice has led to lectures to veterinary students titled the "Competent Generalist". Bob served as President of the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association in 2003.
In 2006, Bob married his business partner Cheryl, and now can be sure that "he is wrong both at home and at work". Together Bob and Cheryl have four children (Jessi, Averi, Graeme, and Emmett), 2 Border Collies (Dill and Dot) and a cat (Tila).
Bob enjoys training Border Collies for sheep herding trials, gardening, and some would suggest obsessive grass cutting.
